Universal Medicine winner People's Choice Award 2017Ms Jackson acknowledged and deeply appreciated the local patrons of Universal Medicine who had supported and voted for them. With more than 10 practitioners working from the clinic offering a broad range of services including physiotherapy, psychology, beauty therapy, remedial and sports massage in addition to a range of extensive healing modalities, the clinic supports people from across the region. The warmth and support from the patrons was being celebrated and honoured tonight with the award confirming the consistent and longstanding ‘people first’ ethos of the business.

With outstanding growth at a local, regional and international level Universal Medicine acknowledged the continuous support of its dedicated team, as well as a special mention of appreciation to the endless support of the local Lismore Business Community.

The night presented by the Lismore Chamber of Commerce was a huge success and a touching celebration. This year’s gala evening recognised and celebrated the resilience of the Lismore business community, and the substantial contribution that local businesses have offered to the city after a very challenging flood affected opening to the year.

As part of the category of awards, Universal Medicine also received the ‘Highly Commended Excellence in Health Services’ in acknowledgment of the high quality and dedication to wellness and care of its many customers. Exceptional quality and care is central to all Universal Medicine’s services. As strong advocates for the benefits of conventional medicine, Universal Medicine services work in complement and in addition to one’s medical care, working harmoniously alongside conventional medical treatments for the benefit of the client.

Speaking after the event Remedial Massage Therapist Curtis Benhayon said:

“It is an honour to receive this award and Universal Medicine would like to congratulate all other businesses nominated in the category of Health Services.”

“With the current rates of physical illness and structural problems that are common in people today the strength of our community’s health services has never been more important. As a remedial and sports massage professional, I see people with a range of injuries who are exploring a range of treatment options. When we work in harmony with other health services we ensure that our clients get the fullest benefit. The strength of Universal Medicine’s approach is to treat the whole of the person and not just the part and this cannot be achieved without collaboration with other quality health services from across the region.”

Serge Benhayon, Founder of Universal Medicine, who attended the event with his wife Miranda Benhayon celebrated the “considerable work of the practitioners at the clinic across many aspects of health and wellbeing” and also acknowledged the “strength of the Lismore community in a time that has put a considerable amount of pressure on local businesses”.

“While it has been a very stressful time for a lot of businesses, the Lismore community has gone from strength to strength and this evening is as much a celebration of community as it is an Awards night.”
