COVID-19 UPDATE

Universal Medicine places the well-being, health and safety of customers, clients and staff members at the top of its priorities and is actively monitoring the situation regarding the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The Universal Medicine Clinic in Goonellabah, NSW is operating according to strict hygiene and infection control procedures in line with World Health Organisation recommendations.

Notification about COVID-19/Coronavirus

The COVID-19 strain of coronavirus has caused an outbreak of respiratory infections in most nations of the world. On the 11th of March 2020, COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. Symptoms of COVID-19 infection

It is important that we are all aware of the symptoms of COVID-19 infection.

From the Department of Health website: "Patients may have fever, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath and other symptoms. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia with severe acute respiratory distress."

Note that the symptoms of COVID-19 Coronavirus are difficult to distinguish from a regular cold or flu.

For clients attending the Universal Medicine clinic

It is important that you do not attend the clinic if you have any of the symptoms listed above. Please call the clinic to cancel your appointment if you have one or more of the symptoms, even if they are very mild. Late cancellations are accepted in this instance.

All clients who attend the clinic will be called prior to their appointment and screened for the presence of symptoms.

It may be possible to conduct your session online if you cannot attend in person and sufficient notice is given. Please discuss this with the reception team when you call.

You should call your doctor and seek medical advice if you develop any of the symptoms listed above.
